Drumnadrochit (Scottish Gaelic, Druim na Droichaid) is a village lying on the north shore of Loch Ness at the foot of Glen Urquhart. The settlement grew up around a bridge over the River Enrick and the name Drumnadrochit is thought to be derived from the Scottish Gaelic and mean the Ridge of the Bridge. There are a vast array of activities to choose from in Drumnadrochit and the surrounding area. We have highlighted some of the most popular but see our links page for more sites connected to the local area and beyond.
