Loch Ness Hotel - Beer Festival
First held in 2002, the Loch Ness Beer Festival is the longest running Beer Festival in the Highlands of Scotland. Each year we source the finest ales from all over Scotland to ensure a week of beer and fun for everyone!
For Beer Festival week we install an extra 5 or 6 handpumps meaning that we can increase the number of ales & ciders available each day to 10 or 11. This enables us to get through approximately 60 different beers during the week. In 2006 we decided to have a "Guest Brewery" from England each year, trying to find a brewery who have never had their ales on sale this far north. So far we have used Cropton, Osset and Northumberland breweries, all of whom managed to supply us with excellent ales.

No Beer Festival is complete without some entertainment and the Loch Ness Beer Festival has something for everyone. Live music is featured at weekends with some traditional Scottish music, some folk and pop, as well as some local jazz featuring every year. We also have the sometimes-popular Steve's Pub Quiz as well as a Pool Tournament and a Poker Championship.
